"Let's Make Our Haters Our Biggest Motivators"
I know you are rolling your eyes about me mentioning a Kardashian but this family is full geniuses or lucky either whatever they are successful. I can't say I watch the show regularly but I did watch a few because my mother watches. I had no idea what she was talking about and felt bad I couldn't keep up with her. We have different taste but at some point you have to meet in the middle. I tried watching Rob & Chyna and Keeping Up With The Kardashians and I can see why it's popular. You want to live in those spaces, drink that Fiji water, and I really should be eating giant clear bowls of salad. They show how much it takes to look your best but also show how bad it feels to not look or feel you best. But then I felt myself watching this with my open like a zombie. I can just let my mom update me and at least I know who she is talking about.
Then Revenge Body comes out. It's a show about getting fit and confronting the people that made you feel bad about how you looked. That's how they keep people hanging on, it's genius! There are critics who say looking hot should not be a goal to making yourself feel better. I totally get that criticism but the show is also about changing your outlook on life.
Obviously Khloe out of all of them is the most relatable if that is even possible but she is also extremely rich so I have to look at the real people going through this transiting. The person I related to the most so far is Stephanie. She identifies herself as the Designated Ugly Fat Friend:
I have friends that look amazing...I'm the friend that doesn't have clear skin, I'm the friend that needs to wear makeup. When I go out I know that no one's looking at me everyone's looking at them...When I look in the mirror I see my skin is not good, my eyebrows will never be like these girls', my nose is too wide, my neck is too fat, my lips are too small, my hair is not as great as other girls' hair. I just see a lot of imperfections in myself.
Her goal was a bikini. That's a big goal, especially for me but I can see why she wants it. She is working with Luke Milton from Training Mate and he has a 3 step approach:
1. Physical Health
2. Social Health
3. High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)
1 and 2 are actually part of my balance chart of connecting with local friends and focusing on weight loss. Tomorrow I will be doing step 3 with my girlfriend Dynasti Hunt! So BAM I'm doing all three at once and more to come!
I can see this girl's skin getting clearer and see her losing weight on screen! It is so satisfying and motivational to watch. She lost 27lbs in 12 weeks ugh, I need to be on this game plan.
Stephanie also had a skin consultation. Christie Kidd says no primers because it is clogging my pores. Glad I can ditch the primer! I already have a plan to see my dermatologist instead of listening to conflicting advice from sales people. Skin is an organ that should not be left to people without medical degrees. She also got a hair makeover.

Oh, truer words were never spoken. I have a big plan for my hair at the end of the month.
So I will definitely keep watching because got a lot of useful tips and basically it was a reminder to trust the experts. I can't wait to see the workout of Latreal Mitchell, I'm sure she's going to have a chockfull of motivational quotes at my disposal.
